There are two supermarket chains, which stock many of the foods and products internationals look for when living abroad. The local fruit and vegetable markets are wonderful.
Skopje has a vibrant nightlife and numerous nightclubs, bars and restaurant. It is inexpensive to go out for drinks and food and the variety of restaurant includes Indian, Italian, Chinese, Japanese and Middle Eastern Cuisine.
There are English speaking nurseries and schools. Childcare and domestic assistance are affordable and generally of good quality.
There are also new clinics offering up-to-date medical facilities. There are good inexpensive dentists with modern equipment.
