The IWA is a registered non-profit association founded by foreign women living in Macedonia.
The IWA provides a modern social network and forum for sharing useful information on how to live in our host country, for meeting like-minded people for friendship and for creating and participating in stimulating activities and projects.
The members of the IWA come from all over the world, have diverse backgrounds, are of all ages and all kinds of occupations: Full time working women; stay at home mothers; single, married; with children; without children, etc.
In addition to our monthly General Meeting, the Newcomers Coffee and the Dinner Meeting, the IWA offers a variety of organized activities such as: Yoga, Pilates, Choir Singing, Children’s activities for all ages, Trekking on Vodno, Majhong, Bridge, German speaking meeting, Spanish speaking meeting, after work drinks and cooking classes.
All activities, roles and involvement within the IWA are completely based on voluntary work and thus the organization can never be offering more than the members are willing to contribute in direct involvement.
IWA has chosen to establish long term relationships with two local charities, Poraka Negotino and SOS Children villages and does a minimum of one fundraising event per year as part of our strategy.
The members within the IWA share their individual knowledge and experience, but the IWA as an organization can not provide any recommendations or advice on nurseries, schools, doctor’s services, legal advice, etc. It is therefore advisable to contact your respective embassies, consuls, or employer for further information.
IWA does NOT accept advertising, sponsorship or any other form of marketing addressed to its members.
